Mosaic Tile

Mosaic is the tile you reach for when a surface has to bend, grip or draw the eye, because the tighter grout grid lets it follow a shower floor down to the drain and gives a wet surface real underfoot security. It sits between our Flooring and Tile collections for exactly that reason. Shipping is a flat $35 parcel rate.

Where mosaic does what field tile cannot

A mosaic sheet is made of small pieces on a flexible backing, which means it can take up the slope of a shower pan without lipping and turn a curve that a large format tile simply cannot. That same tight grout grid is what gives a wet floor its grip, so specifying mosaic underfoot is a safety decision as much as an aesthetic one.

Niches, backsplashes and feature bands

Beyond the shower floor, mosaic earns its place in a recessed niche where the scale of the piece suits the scale of the opening, across a kitchen backsplash where the grid adds texture behind a run of cabinetry, and as a feature band that gives a plain wall a horizon line. In each case the mosaic is doing something the field tile around it cannot.

A curated range of patterns and stone

The collection is led by the TZ Collection series, alongside marble mosaics including polished Emperador Dark octagon with Crema Marfil dots and marble border pieces. Patterns run from geometric octagon and border formats through to contemporary sheet designs, selected so that when you are comparing two options you are choosing between pieces we would specify ourselves.

Pair it with field tile

Mosaic sits within our broader Tile collection rather than replacing it. The usual approach is to run field tile across the walls and the main floor, then bring mosaic in for the shower pan, the niche and any feature band, so the two are best specified together. Our Tile collection holds the field formats that partner with everything here.

Flat rate $35 parcel shipping

Mosaic ships as a parcel at a flat $35 rate, residential or commercial, so you can order a single sheet to live with before committing to the full quantity. Knowing the number up front makes it easy to lay two patterns side by side in your own light and choose with confidence.

A shower floor in mosaic is a detail you feel underfoot every morning, and a niche lined in the same material is what makes a bathroom look designed rather than tiled.
