Vessel & Undermount Bathroom Sinks | KBF Home Improvement

Bathroom Sinks

Configuration first

Undermount basins mount beneath the counter for an uninterrupted surface you can wipe directly into the bowl, and they pair naturally with a stone vanity top. Vessel sinks sit above the counter like a bowl set down, which makes the sink the focal point of the room and opens up materials, glass and stone especially, that no undermount can offer. Two things to plan for: a vessel raises your working height by the full height of the basin, so it belongs on a lower vanity, and it needs a taller vessel-height faucet. Drop-in basins rest a rim on the counter and are the easiest of all to retrofit. And a pedestal sink stands free on a column, which in a powder room where floor space matters more than storage is very often the right answer rather than the sacrifice.

Materials, and what each one is for

Vitreous china is the classic: a glazed, polished, non-porous surface that resists scratches, stains and chipping and asks almost nothing of you. Tempered glass vessels are visually weightless and available in colors and textures nothing else can match. Matte Stone and Concreto Stone composites bring a soft, contemporary matte surface with real substance and a warmth to the touch that ceramic does not have. Quartz and stone composite is the most durable option in the range. And 304 stainless steel is close to indestructible, at home in an industrial-leaning or commercial bathroom.

Shape and proportion

Round and oval basins soften a rectilinear room and sit more comfortably on a narrow vanity. Rectangular and squared basins give more usable basin length and read more contemporary. On a double vanity, matching shape across both basins matters more than most people anticipate.

Before ordering, check the faucet drilling on your vanity top, confirm your faucet height suits the configuration, and check whether the basin has an overflow, since a sink without one needs a matching non-overflow drain assembly. Our team will happily confirm all three with you.

Belladonna Semi-Frameless Triple Sliding Shower Door

Made out of state drive to pick up

Currently live in Las Vegas, made the trip to get flooring. I arrived as the store was closing (literally locking the doors) they opened up as the staff knew I was driving from out of state. Excellent customer service, will purchase additional flooring to finish remaining rooms. Highly recommended

NASA Gravity Waterproof SPC Flooring

Sturdy, solid White Oak. Beautifully crafted, designed, and finished. Light enough for one person to move and stable enough to stand without wall-mounting (arrives fully assembled)... I chose this as a bathroom linen closet, but also works as a small armoire for the bedroom or living room, or as a kitchen pantry (or for dishes/cutlery/napkins)

[DISCONTINUED] Fortune 42" Wall Mounted Bathroom Vanity with Reinforced Acrylic Integrated Sink Top

Love this vanity - it was easy to install and looks great. Slight gap in between the two cabinets, but we don't mind too much. The seamless sinks & countertop are beautiful. Drawer space isn't amazing, but the soft close features and deep cabinets make up for it

Elsa 60" Wall Mounted Bathroom Vanity with Reinforced Acrylic Integrated Sink Top

It's beautiful. Fits the room design perfectly. The high gloss makes it look very high end. People are going NUTS over the vanity. Only caution is we had to cut a slot for plumbing in shelf.

Elsa 48" Freestanding Bathroom Vanity with Reinforced Acrylic Integrated Sink Top

Beautiful addition to our basement bathroom renovation. It is taller than typical vanities, which is perfect for us being a tall family. I love the thick vanity top. I think it will hold up ok. This bathroom is also connected to our daughters bedroom, and she loves the storage this vanity has.
