Free Bathroom Vanity Measuring Worksheet

Four measurements decide whether a bathroom vanity fits: the wall width, the depth you have, the drain height, and the drain offset. This free four page worksheet walks you through all of them with labeled drawings, in about 15 minutes with a tape measure. Fill it in, send us the numbers, and we check them against the vanities we carry and send back three that fit, with prices and shipping to your door, free.

What is inside

  • Page 1: how to use it and the tools you need (a tape measure, a pencil, your phone).
  • Page 2: measure the room. Wall width, depth, toilet clearance, door swing, with the code clearances a vanity needs (21 inches in front, 15 inches from the sink centerline to a side wall).
  • Page 3: measure the plumbing. Drain height, drain offset, supply stop height and spread, with the typical rough-in numbers so you know what counts as normal.
  • Page 4: pick your style. Floating or freestanding, width, sink type, storage and finish, as a checklist that doubles as your shopping filter.

Why measure before you shop

Most stalled vanity installs come down to two numbers nobody checked: the drain sits behind a drawer, or the vanity is 2 inches too wide for the trim. Both are cheap to avoid before you order and expensive after. The guides below go deeper on each measurement.
