Graded BCDE, the boards carry knots, grain swing and natural variation from plank to plank, which is what makes a finished floor look like wood rather than a print. Wire brushing raises that grain so it can be felt as well as seen, and the matte lacquer keeps everything low sheen. Each plank measures 7-1/2" wide in random lengths up to 72", built as engineered European oak at a 9/16" overall thickness with a 3 mm sawn wear layer. The surface is wire brushed and sealed with a matte UV lacquer, and the boards are graded BCDE for natural character. No pad is attached, so the underlayment can be chosen to suit the subfloor and the room.
